The first workingday was set aside for administrative dealings. Bianca came to take me to the local authorities to get my work permit started and then helped me to obtain a Sofi number as well as a bank account. Waking up the first moring, I looked through my window to discover the first snow in The Netherlands has fallen – what an experience! The first steps in Hoornthat morning was done by me with 40 cm of snow – I walked to the Ziekenhuis – can’t “fiets”. During my stay of eighteen weeks I visisted seven countries and done thousands of kilometers by train and plane in Europe. Most memorable moments were Keukenhof flowershow and to top it all my visit to Nordkapp in Norwayto experience the Midnight sun. Bianca called me frequently – just to be sure that I’m still in the country and on duty. She guided me through the railway system and even lent me some money. Back in my country, everybody asks me how I enjoyed The Netherlands – the only answer was “Everything works and no crime”. My bicyle’s pump was still fitted in position after five months – nobody needed my pump. I will be back in Hoornsoon to enjoy the fresh air, loyal colleagues, well trained medewerkers, fresh fruit, bread and jong belegen cheese with carne milk. I want to convey my deepest appreciation to Bianca Kreijger and the staff of Care Force. They made my stay away from home a pleasant experience!''
